New England Patriots Running Back Laurence Maroney - Move Over Corey Dillon

New England Patriots Running Back Laurence Maroney should have a very good year in 2007. Maroney and Corey Dillon split carries in 2006, and rushed for a combined total of 1,557 yards and 19 touchdowns on the ground, plus an additional 341 yards and a touchdown receiving.

With Dillon out of the way, Maroney will likely get most of the carries, assuming head coach Bill Belichick does not utilize a running back by committee approach. Look for Maroney to set his goal on a 1,500 rushing yard, 12 touchdown season.
